K(NO)W Justice K(NO)W Peace Book Club – Clint Smith, “Counting Descent”

Clint Smith is a writer, teacher, and Ph.D. Candidate at Harvard University. He is a 2014 National Poetry Slam champion, a Cave Canem Fellow, and his writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The American Poetry Review, The Guardian, and Boston Review. His first full-length collection of poems, Counting Descent, was published in 2016 by Write Bloody Publishing and is a finalist for an NAACP Image Award.

The the K(NO)W Justice K(NO)W Peace Book Club + Film Series brings diverse audiences together to explore issues related to police-involved killings and their aftermath through books and films about policing, race-relations, protest and community response. The series will feature lectures by distinguished authors and filmmakers from around the country.
